I was excited when I found this resource because not only is a great resource to use with your students because it provides information, but it also allows the students to play and interact as if they were apart of the branches. This is very age appropriate for third grade students and this is a great use of web 2.0 tools in the classroom environment.

The song is a useful and engaging way for students to remember and learn the branches of government as well as each of the functions. There are lyrics under the video so that students are able to read and follow along with the video until they have the song memorized. This is a great hook for a lesson!

The thing about this source that I like is that it highlights the vocabulary words for the students and when they place their mouse over the word, it gives the definition.

This resource is one that I use most often because it is very age appropriate and easy for younger students to understand given the content that is displayed. This is a video resource in which the branches of government are explained in most simplest terms as possible for third grade students. I recommend this source to all teachers/educators to use.
