The Digitally Curated Textbook–My NCGE Presentation

The Digitally Curated Textbook–My NCGE Presentation | Culver EdTech | Scoop.it

It's really excellent to see educators re-thinking the textbook and curating information that is specific to the Students and the subject matter.  Teaching students "content curation" and critical thinking is a great skill for the future.

The 2012 NCGE conference has been tremendous; I plan on sharing many of the resources that I’ve discovered with you over the next few weeks.  October 6th is the day of my presentation and I’ve uploaded my slides (with hyperlinks included) here: Empowering Students: The Digitally Curated Textbook.

10 (More) Amazing Videos About the Creative Process -- The Fuel Of Storytelling

10 (More) Amazing Videos About the Creative Process -- The Fuel Of Storytelling | Culver EdTech | Scoop.it

Knowing how to create and tell good stories is a critical skill for the future "content creators."

I really appreciate this post shared by Karen Dietz & believe that educators need to be focused on teaching not just the subject matter, but implementing technology into the classrooms in such a way that our children are prepared to be the "story-tellers" of the future.

The following is from Karen's post:

"We hand-pick the web's best videos about the creative process from some of the world's most talented creative minds."

I stumbled upon this the other day and couldn't wait to share it with you. And I thought Friday would be a great day so you can have a totally inspiring weekend!

I've watched all of these videos and they are awesome. And each one is different. Each has its own unique message/messages about creativity, art, life, and work. Fabulous!

These are keepers and I've added them to my 'favorites' on YouTube so I can go back and dip into them whenever I need a lift.

I hope you enjoy them as much as I do and take away lots of good stuff to incorporate into daily living!
