In the three years since the Gulf oil disaster, studies show the catch is safe. But that's no consolation to the fishermen along Louisiana's hard-hit bayou.

Oysters (talaba),  a fishing community and terrible example of environmental risks the world is facing. Econonomies go on everyday and probably even expanding.  Oil spill, leaks in nuclear reactors, toxic chemicals, air polluting emmissions, heavy metals in water ways, destruction of forests, over fished seas illustrate the big picture of anthropogenic disasters rivalling natural forces in extent of damage and maybe more.

Vulnerability of communities to the effects of climate change is most glaring in marginalized economies.  This study on Nepal and Bangladesh could give us insights as to how to cope better and what the UN, governments and global corporations could do to reverse the climatic trends and in formulating the correct interventions to pull such vulnerable economies to the mainstream and stability.

This is an example of what could be a "tabloid type esotoric and exotica" which have a consistent adherents and proponents of alien contact... The search for life elsewhere other than Earth which acc. to friend, where we trample life under our feet everyday... Now alien contact will definitely re-write religion and the possibility that in the future, if such a religion would emerge, it could be unrecognizable to us. The science, religion and fantasy mix in popular culture such Star Wars may not be as loony as we think. It may after all be the reality.
