WHAT ARE YOU COMMITTED TO?

WHAT ARE YOU COMMITTED TO? | Culturational Chemistry™ | Scoop.it
If you’re honest with yourself, then you’ll admit that some of the things that you pursue are because that’s what someone else wants you to do. Those are the efforts that are usually short lived. The areas in your life where you really bear fruit are the areas where you are truly committed. These are the areas where you follow up and follow through. You do the work and finish the job.

REMOVING THE LOSS COLUMN

REMOVING THE LOSS COLUMN | Culturational Chemistry™ | Scoop.it
Millennials, you have a purpose. We all have a purpose. In addition to your individual purpose, I also believe that Millennials have a collective generational purpose. That collective purpose is best accomplished when everyone is in line with his or her individual purpose.

TRAINING LEADERS TO COACH | Culturational Chemistry™ | Scoop.it
This is what I like to call a little corporate TLC… Training Leaders to Coach! One of the most recurring issues that I’ve heard from my Millennial clients, customers and friends all year long this year, is their frustration with the lack of training they receive from their employer.

PERPETUAL MOMENTS OF CLARITY

PERPETUAL MOMENTS OF CLARITY | Culturational Chemistry™ | Scoop.it
I heard a quote recently that states, “where there is no clarity, there is no urgency, and where there is no urgency, there is no action”. I believe this to be true. I’ve seen this very dynamic play out numerous times in corporate settings at all levels. Clarity is vital to your productivity and purpose.

THE COMMUNITY EXPECTATION GAP | Culturational Chemistry™ | Scoop.it
In my experience, the biggest challenges that I have seen that exist with organizations that are seeking to connect with Millennials have been an inability to fill the gaps that I call the Big 3. Those are the Generation Gaps, The Culture Gaps and the biggest of the 3… The Expectation Gaps!

A CULTURE OF COLLABORATION

A CULTURE OF COLLABORATION | Culturational Chemistry™ | Scoop.it
“Teamwork makes the Dream work; and nobody knows that better than Millennials. There are a lot of different attributes that are associated with Millennials - some good and some not so good. Depending on who you’re talking to will determine what stereotype or attribute they’ll offer. Regardless of where you stand on your knowledge and/or perception of this generation, there is one generational trait that cannot and should not be ignored… and that’s COLLABORATION!

INSPIRING THE CUSTOMIZATION OF EDUCATION

INSPIRING THE CUSTOMIZATION OF EDUCATION | Culturational Chemistry™ | Scoop.it
As Millennials are coming of age and entering adult-hood and parenthood, I believe we will notice greater expectations of customization in education. Largely because of the high unemployment rate Millennials have experienced in spite of being the most educated generation in American history, they are expressing a growing need for a more customized approach to education.

MILLENNIAL PASSIONS ARE A PRIORITY

MILLENNIAL PASSIONS ARE A PRIORITY | Culturational Chemistry™ | Scoop.it
If you’re not passionate about it, why even pursue it? This seems to be the sentiment of an entire generation. This is pretty much the Millennial Mindset. I remember the popular saying for Gen X used to be “if it don’t make dollars then it don’t make sense”. Choices, decisions and behaviors were largely governed by how much money could be made. For past generations, that was simply the American way. Not so much for this generation.

BE CONSUMED WITH CONTRIBUTION | Culturational Chemistry™ | Scoop.it
Consumerism is as synonymous with American culture as baseball and apple pie. Actually, I’m pretty sure consumerism has probably surpassed baseball as America’s favorite pastime and I’d venture to say that Apple products have replaced apple pie as a symbol of American standards.
