Triberr’s Mantra

Triberr’s mantra (or mission statement, if you went to business school :-p ) is to help bloggers be succesful.

And to bloggers, “successful” means three things:

Content distribution Content generation Engagement

1. Content Distribution

This is where Triberr began.

Triberr enables bloggers to form tribes and effectively establish a long-term Tear 1 supporter networks.

Since everyone on Triberr is a blogger -and therefore audience builder- each share is worth much more than a share by your average Joe Facebook user. Gross generalization of course, but accurate for our purposes.

Facebook and comScore: “This is how to do social marketing”

Facebook and comScore: “This is how to do social marketing” | Cultura de massa no Século XXI (Mass Culture in the XXI Century) | Scoop.it

ComScore released a new study with Facebook today explaining “how social marketing works.” If that sounds to suspicious minds like the fox explaining how to guard the chickens, that’s because it pretty much is. However, the study does contain a huge amount of useful information for social marketers.

Here are some highlights.

10 Social Media Secrets from the Social Scientist

10 Social Media Secrets from the Social Scientist | Cultura de massa no Século XXI (Mass Culture in the XXI Century) | Scoop.it
Value is the currency on the Web, and the more value you create, the more people will flock to you. It has been said give till it hurts and you will receive it back in spades.

There are some secrets regarding social media that I’d like to share.

I’m a bit of a hard-core social media user and I’ve been doing web and content development for many years now. Because I have been online for a very long time (pre-graphical Web), I am pretty attuned to what constitutes authentic and cooperative behavior online. There are things that set apart the altruistic contributor (check out this cool thing!), for instance, from the self-serving ones (buy my stuff!).

If you do nothing else this year, consider shifting your social media strategy to encompass increasingly pro-social guidelines. The more you give, the more the community will give back, but it needs to be done with a sensitive hand.

How Google & Technology is Changing Your Brain’s Rote Memory (The Google Effect Study) | Cultura de massa no Século XXI (Mass Culture in the XXI Century) | Scoop.it

A recent study has confirmed that the search engine Google is changing your brain and altering the way it works, seriously. But then again, this really shouldn’t come as a surprise since any new technology is going to change the way that our neurons fire and brain works. Anyways, a group of people got money for a study called “The Google Effect” led by Betsy Sparrow at Columbia University. Findings from the study led by Betsy were published in the popular journal, “Science.”

Have you ever worked with a very charismatic leader?

If so, then it's likely that almost everyone in the organization liked, trusted, and admired this person.
People listened when she talked, colleagues supported her ideas, and talented people wanted to join her team. In short, everyone wanted to be around this person!

Charisma is something that many people believe you're born with. However, this isn't the case – you can become more charismatic, and we'll explore how you can develop charisma in this article

Michel CEZON's curator insight, March 2, 12:28 PM

Charisma is a collection of traits and behaviors that help you appeal to other people. Charismatic people are often successful, and people are naturally drawn to them. They retain the best talent in their teams, and people listen to their ideas.

Because charisma is a collection of behaviors, you can learn it. Work on developing empathy, self-confidence, and assertiveness. Be aware of what your body language is saying, and do your best to give people a genuine smile when you're around them.

Also, make sure that you use your charisma the right way: don't use it to influence someone to do something that is against his or her own best interests.

How to Make a Decision

How to Make a Decision | Cultura de massa no Século XXI (Mass Culture in the XXI Century) | Scoop.it

Last summer, I found myself in a dilemma to make a decision. Amidst my struggle to find fulfillment from the various jobs, I was offered a regular salary and benefits kind of job. Being offered any type of employment after a particularly long dry spell was fantastic, but I was hung up on the fact that it wasn’t how I pictured it — the pay wasn’t great and the industry was one I never thought I’d be in.

I was faced with an important decision: Do I accept the new position and a chance at a little security, or continue searching for something different, something that fit the long laundry list of must-haves I had concocted for my professional life?

Besides everything else, I was most terrified about accepting a position that I wouldn’t be happy in. In fact, a fear of not being happy was a place I operated from often, one I knew had succeeded in keeping me from trying new things.
