Hey guys recently got the new 4.0 Nano CrossFit from Reebok. They are the best all around shoe that I have found for CF and any other WOD based program. I lift in the early morning, it clears my mind, puts me in a good mood and helps me be more patient with my children and …
Hi Fitness Fans, Steve here with you again to talk about HIIT type workouts and what types of shoes best work for them. If you are doing T25, Insanity, CrossFit, or similar workouts you are putting your body through quite a bit of stress. From burpees to plyometric box jumps- you are going through the paces. Make sure that you are using a shoe that fits your body and your mechanics properly. Here are a few guide lines when picking the ideal workout shoe for you: Avoid using running shoes with high heel to toe drops. Reason being they put your body in a forward lean starting position. This puts more stress and weight on the front of your knees. High amounts of padding found in running shoes also can throw your balance off when you are deadlifting, squatting, etc. Last thing you want to do is sink into your too soft padding in your heel and not be able to get it corrected. You either drop the weight, or even worse, hurt yourself. Pick shoes with strong lateral support. If you can take your shoe from the heel and toe area (one hand on each end) and you can twist it with little to no resistance, these shoes may not be for you. While I like and use minimalist style shoes when dealing with people with weaker ankles, or with a propensity to twist an ankle, having a stronger laterally rigid shoe is beneficial to making your workout experience better. Tough. Get a pair of shoes that can stand up to your workouts. If you are doing rope climbs during your CrossFit workouts then you may not want to use a pair of Vibram shoes with no rope guard support. They would most likely end up getting shredded in a short period of time. Look around. See what other (fit and knowledgeable) people in your Box are using. If they are all using Reebok Nano 4.0, then there is a good chance that those are exceptional shoes for that type of workout style. I would add to this review that the Reebok Nano 4.0 really did chance my mind on Reebok. Still use my New balance 1157 for Cross Training but my primary shoes are not the Reebok CrossFit Nano 4.0. Article I wrote as I am passionate about CrossFit and enjoy a good pair of comfortable shoes. I have used too many pairs of shoes that were horrible for my workouts, and see many people still using the wrong pair of shoes for their workouts. Don't wear soccer cleats on the basketball court!
If you are not sleeping well, your Testosterone Levels can suffer. I am not telling you that you need to sleep straight 8 hours a day. Some people simply function fine off of 6 hours, some off 7 and others off 9. What I am advocating is following your body’s natural sleep cycle. That cycle …
Sleep like a baby? Well my 4 month old wakes up every 4 hours or so to eat. I prefer to sleep like an exhausted dad... all the way through the night when possible.
What are the best shoes for CrossFit? Well if you ask me, the Reebok Nano 4.0 are! So here is the deal, I have been using these shoes for a few weeks now and not only do they hold up extremely well, they are extremely comfortable.
How To Grow Your Business After You have Had Success. What Got you here, won't necessarily get you there. MI based SEO Company. Chicago SEO Agency.
Tough area to tackle. For large businesses and growing ones, if you have had success doing something, then you decide to shift tactics will that work? One thought pattern says to stick to your core competencies. The other says what got you here can not necessarily get you where you need to be.
ok,My experience with Rhodiola So after listening to the Model Health Podcast from Shawn Stevenson I decided to take some action. My wife and I just had our second child about 4 months ago, and sleep is tought to come by some nights. Couple that with the stress with running a start up business, while …
As Is Insanity Max 30 just another version of T25? Ok, so you have seen the preview videos, you have heard the hype. Shaun T from beachbody has a new video coming out soon and from the professional style promo video is looks to be pretty intense. One thing that I notice right off the bat is that they adopt some “CrossFit” style ideals, like “max out” which is your PR (personal record). Writing it on a board is something that almost every CrossFit box encourages as it is great to post progress. Unlike Insanity, Shaun T encourages the break (just not a long one). He claims to have 150 all new moves and some moves from the promo video do look new. I personally like the idea of using my body to work out instead of a machine to work out on. Being stuck in a hotel gym or even a hotel room you could still get in these workouts. Now, I am not a beachbody guru or anything like that. Just a consumer who has used beachbody products for a number of years now and if Shaun T is behind it then I am at least willing to give it a shot. How Insanity Max 30 is like T25 Reduced Time Limit. T25 is 25 minutes and has a modifier. Max 30 is a condensed version of Insanity in what looks to be a whole new set of moves. 30 minute time limit is what seems to be sweeping the industry right now as evidenced by another beachbody product, Tony Horton’s latest iteration of the uber popular P90X empire, P90X3. I am not sure how or why Shaun T came out with another brand calling it T25 when he had a hit with Insanity. Maybe they are strictly running out of ideas or just testing the market to see who will buy and what time frames the workouts need to be in. Beachbody and Shaun T both know that if you throw the Insanity label on something it will sell. At least to the beachbody coaches who then will try to sell it to their clients and thus a trickle down sales effect. I am not bashing them for putting out a product that at least from the preview looks like T25 and a condensed version of Insanity, but wasn’t that what T25 was about? Again, I will end up getting this program I just want to point out that alot of this is about marketing and sales growth. So to summarize, I am a grinch who hates people making money-just kidding. I will get Shaun T’s latest work out craze Insanity Max 30 because Shaun T told me to buy it. And because “I wanna look good” (insert Shaun T’s voice here). As an Avid user of beachbody product like Insanity, Insanity Asylum, T25, P90X, P90X3 and a few others I can't remember I love their products. I am very interested to see if this is actually different than T25, especially the Alpha Rounds which I felt were actually difficult. Gotta wait and see til it releases.
