Randy L. Dixon Rivera's insight:
As a Federal Police Officer I was routinely rotated to a post in the VA's psych ward and with my loaded service weapon too. Those Veterans were all trained to kill (what Vets aren't?) NEVER did I fear for my life & shoot one, wrestle yes, shoot one dead NEVER. Possibly getting knifed or stabbed is part of an Officer's risk. we also had alternative uses of force like a PR-24 baton & OC spray. Better training = less lethal results. Those officer were obviously not ready to deal with a mentally ill person. It's in their training or lack thereof.
1st question on my mind is....why were they there in the 1st place? Many deadly encounters are constitutionally preventable. If you send in professionally trained assassins to do the job of a trained medical professional what do people expect?
The law regulating government surveillance and information gathering is in dire need of reform. This law, which consists of the Fourth Amendment and several statutes, was created largely in the 1970s and 1980s and has become woefully outdated. United States. The Department of Justice (

Gun laws in Vermont regulate the sale, possession, and use of firearms and ammunition in the state of Vermont in the United States. Vermont has very few gun control laws, and has among the most permissive laws in the nation regarding the purchase and open or concealed carry of firearms. The state's rural character, along with its strong hunting and outdoor sports traditions, have contributed to the state's permissive gun policies.
A 20-year-old man was charged on Sunday with first-degree assault in last week's shooting of two policemen during a protest rally in Ferguson, Missouri, a crime that shocked a city that has been devastated by months of racial strife.
The lawyer for former State Department contractor Stephen Kim, imprisoned last year for leaking classified information, is asking federal prosecutors for the “immediate release” of his client in light of the relatively lenient treatment of former CIA Director David Petraeus for similar conduct.
It's simple, never allow Govt (our employee) more power over US than is Constitutionally allowed, which actually is extremely limited. OUR employee has clearly gone rogue. LL #2A - “Wellness Checks” is Code For Gun Confiscation http://www.infowars.com/wellness-checks-is-code-for-gun-co…/
