LEOs #OATH 1st don't die for a lie! | Criminal Justice in America | Scoop.it
If the FBI & USDOJ wasn't hiding anything criminal (for the #VA's benefit) and was actually honorable with ANY integrity .. why do they still fear a face to face public discussion and airing out about what happened to my family and I in Puerto Rico; as a former federal police officer 5 years ago? How long can the FBI and USDOJ cover up the FACTs and truth for the Veterans Administration's willful crimes against a U.S Veteran and his family? Another 5 years perhaps? #FUBAR and this is why the U.S. Justice System is falling apart ... because it has lost all honor and integrity, a cold hard FACT as the FBI and USDOJ well knows. LEOs #OATH 1st don't die for a lie!

Tennessee police officer killed in shooting

Tennessee police officer killed in shooting | Criminal Justice in America | Scoop.it
MARYVILLE, Tenn. — A suspect is in custody after a Maryville police officer was shot and killed Thursday afternoon answering a domestic violence call, authorities say. The officer was pronounced dead at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville. Police didn't release his name, saying some of his family members were out of town and couldn't be reached. The shooting occurred at around 4 p.m., Maryville Police Chief Tony Crisp said. Officers had been called to the home earlier in the day but left without making an arrest, the chief said. The Maryville officer and a Blount County Sheriff's Office deputy, both members of the 5th Judicial District Drug Task Force, responded to the second call. As the officers stepped out of their vehicle, a man came out the home shooting, Crisp said. The Maryville officer was shot but returned fire, Crisp said. The man gave up after shooting the officer, the chief said. The chief didn't say how many shots were fired or what kind of gun was used. Zack Wooldridge, who lives nearby, said he heard the shooting. "It was definitely more than one shot — multiple gunshots," he said. Knoxville police escorted the ambulance carrying the officer on the drive to the hospital along Alcoa Highway.

America to hand off Internet in under two months

America to hand off Internet in under two months | Criminal Justice in America | Scoop.it
The Department of Commerce is set to hand off the final vestiges of American control over the Internet to international authorities in less than two months, officials have confirmed. The department will finalize the transition effective Oct. 1, Assistant Secretary Lawrence Strickling wrote on Tuesday, barring what he called any significant impediment. The move means the Internet Assigned Numbers Authority, which is responsible for interpreting numerical addresses on the Web to a readable language, will move from U.S. control to the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers, a multistakeholder body based in Los Angeles that includes countries such as China and Russia. Critics of the move, most prominently Texas Republican Sen. Ted Cruz, have pointed out the agency could be used by totalitarian governments to shut down the Web around the globe, either in whole or in part.
