If only the American people really understood just how vulnerable their lives truly are.

On top of that, many murders are preventable or are deliberately caused by well orchestrated acts of corrupt government officials (people we trust).

It's not easy for the average American to see through the prison ("prism" deliberately not used) of lies and deceptions but for the victims it becomes crystal clear if they should survive.

Nothing like being nearly murdered in cold blood and unarmed to wake you up to the cold hard facts our U.S. Justice System is concealing deadly lies.

Betrayed: Exposing the Truth http://lnkd.in/dsEy6eV Remember I said Federal Management will say, "It's a personal problem" LEOs don't be their PAWN - #OATH not #NDAA

You know you're on the right track to exposing govt #corruption when people start threatening you.  #OATH not #NDAA

Homicidal Criminals don't give a rat's ass about gun control laws or your life. The only right thing to do is to stay alive when you're faced with a grinning cold blooded murderer intent on offing you. I'd rather have a loaded gun in my hand next time so as to make damn sure I have a fighting chance. I almost didn't survive the 1st time because of a corrupt justice system that has stolen our human right to defend ourselves. Calling 911 is to report a homicide NOT prevent one. ‪#‎FACT‬ P.S. I was a federal cop no one is going to bullshit me anymore about the real life ‪#‎FACTs‬; the U.S. Justice system is TOTALLY FUBAR

Did you know Obama just took new executive action on immigration? | WashingtonExaminer.com | Criminal Justice in America | Scoop.it
This week President Obama took unilateral executive action — again — to change the nation's immigration laws. Almost no one noticed.
Obama intends to make it easier to bring more foreign guest workers to the United States — likely at significant cost to workers already here — by loosening the rules governing something known as the L-1B visa program. Under the program, a multinational company with offices in the United States can move workers from abroad to live and work in the U.S. for as long as five years in what is known as an intra-company transfer. There are almost no rules concerning what those workers can be paid, so there is no barrier to a company firing American employees and bringing in workers from foreign facilities to replace them at much lower pay.
Companies who transfer workers to the U.S. through an L-1B visa have to show that those workers bring some sort of specialized knowledge to the job — that is, they have particular knowledge that would be hard, if not impossible, to find elsewhere in the United States. Obama plans to broaden the definition of specialized knowledge so much that it could conceivably used to cover just about any foreign worker a company wants to bring here.

Randy L. Dixon Rivera's insight:
Section 3: Treason[edit] Iva Toguri, known as Tokyo Rose, and Tomoya Kawakita were two Japanese Americans who were tried for treason after World War II.

Section 3 defines treason and its punishment.

Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort. No Person shall be convicted of Treason unless on the Testimony of two Witnesses to the same overt Act, or on Confession in open Court.

The Congress shall have Power to declare the Punishment of Treason, but no Attainder of Treason shall work Corruption of Blood, or Forfeiture except during the Life of the Person attainted.

The Constitution defines treason as specific acts, namely "levying War against [the United States], or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort." A contrast is therefore maintained with the English law, whereby a variety of crimes, including conspiring to kill the King, or "violating" the Queen, were punishable as treason. In Ex Parte Bollman, 8 U.S. 75 (1807), the Supreme Court ruled that "there must be an actual assembling of men, for the treasonable purpose, to constitute a levying of war."[14]

Under English law effective during the ratification of the U.S. Constitution, there were essentially five species of treason.[citation needed] Of the five, the Constitution adopted only two: levying war and adhering to enemies. Omitted were species of treason involving encompassing (or imagining) the death of the king, certain types of counterfeiting, and finally fornication with women in the royal family of the sort which could call into question the parentage of successors. James Wilson wrote the original draft of this section, and he was involved as a defense attorney for some accused of treason against the Patriot cause.

Section 3 also requires the testimony of two different witnesses on the same overt act, or a confession by the accused in open court, to convict for treason. This rule was derived from an older English statute, the Treason Act 1695.[15]

In Cramer v. United States, 325 U.S. 1 (1945), the Supreme Court ruled that "[e]very act, movement, deed, and word of the defendant charged to constitute treason must be supported by the testimony of two witnesses."[16] In Haupt v. United States, 330 U.S. 631 (1947), however, the Supreme Court found that two witnesses are not required to prove intent, nor are two witnesses required to prove that an overt act is treasonable. The two witnesses, according to the decision, are required to prove only that the overt act occurred (eyewitnesses and federal agents investigating the crime, for example).

Punishment for treason may not "work Corruption of Blood, or Forfeiture except during the Life of the Person" so convicted. The descendants of someone convicted for treason could not, as they were under English law, be considered "tainted" by the treason of their ancestor. Furthermore, Congress may confiscate the property of traitors, but that property must be inheritable at the death of the person convicted.

In Federalist No. 43 James Madison wrote regarding the Treason Clause:

As treason may be committed against the United States, the authority of the United States ought to be enabled to punish it. But as new-fangled and artificial treasons have been the great engines by which violent factions, the natural offspring of free government, have usually wreaked their alternate malignity on each other, the convention have, with great judgment, opposed a barrier to this peculiar danger, by inserting a constitutional definition of the crime, fixing the proof necessary for conviction of it, and restraining the Congress, even in punishing it, from extending the consequences of guilt beyond the person of its author.

Based on the above quotation, it was noted by the lawyer William J. Olson in an Amicus curiae in the case Hedges v. Obama that the Treason Clause was one of the enumerated powers of the federal government.[17] He also stated that by defining treason in the U.S. Constitution and placing it in Article III "the founders intended the power to be checked by the judiciary, ruling out trials by military commissions. As James Madison noted, the Treason Clause also was designed to limit the power of the federal government to punish its citizens for “adhering to [the] enemies [of the United States by], giving them aid and comfort.”"[17]

"Am I free to go?" When the police want to talk to you..... | Criminal Justice in America | Scoop.it
Howard Woodley Bailey originally shared: When the police want to talk to you, you can be required to identify yourself. Once you have, ask "Am I free to go?" If the officer does not answer you, ask again, "Am I free to go?". If they do not answer, say "If I am free to go, I am leaving'. If you are allowed to leave, LEAVE. If you are being detained, do not volunteer information, and do not answer questions about 'what happened'. It is the job of the officer to inform you why you are be detained, and it is your right to remain silent. Ask for a lawyer and stop talking! Anything you say or do can be used against you.

Rob Duke's curator insight, Today, 12:43 AM

All this is theoretically true, but this guy is not your friend.  Anyone who lives in that neighborhood knows that the best advice is: 1. Don't break the law; 2. When detained by the cops, be nice and be cooperative; 3. Do everything in your power to put the cop(s) at ease.

This guy has the freedom to do as he has advised, but he is rich, an attorney, and doesn't live in that neighborhood.

Having said that, look at Donald J. Black's article: The Social Organization of Arrest, Stanford Law Review, (1971).  While cops generally try to find solutions other than arrest to solve problems, disrespect is a sure fire way to go to jail.  Though the data's dated, my own experience tells me that it's not that far off from the current reality.  Some things change little over the years and this maxim is alive and well: "Don't pop off at the police and things will go better for you."

Originally published at the Personal Liberty Digest. The IRS gives subsidies when it wants. The ATF and EPA redefine words on a whim in an effort to give themselves more power and more control over your life. “Legislating from the bench” has been superseded by this even more dangerous “lawmaking” by unelected, unaccountable federal agencies. As Chapman law professor Ronald Rotunda noted recently, we “have come a long way towards governance by bureaucrats.” Some states, however, are taking positive steps in 2015 to thwart the effects of these unilateral - and wildly unconstitutional - acts. The following is an overview of state legislation to thwart federal overreach that’s moving forward right now. FEDERAL GUN CONTROL Even though the ATF has, at least temporarily, backed down on a proposed M855 ammo ban, gun rights advocates should be alarmed. More of this should be expected moving forward, that is, more gun control no matter who you elect to Congress. In Arizona, however, a bill that
