Nobody really wants to ask naive or stupid questions, but as the blog Creative Something points out, those questions are often the best way to spark a creative insight into problem solving.

I really like the number 3 kitchen timer idea. When difficulties arise, it is so easy to walk away, but if I am forced to keep my butt in the chair, often I can push through the problem. Delete the scoop?

Good Scoop David! These ones got my attention:
Employee Idea Killers
~The management team does not share information about the organization to allow employees to generate strategic ideas.
~No one openly requests employees share their expertise and insights.
~Requiring all employees to participate in the program.
~Not explaining the impact employees can have on the organization with their participation.~Hanging up a suggestion box – either physical or virtual – and expecting the rest to take care of itself.

This is a terrific link that also includes a link to "The Cornell R-6 Method is a tested means of summarizing reams of reading into smart categories boxed out on a page (although there are much simpler explanations of it, too). Like coloring, it breaks up the monotony of line after line of text on a page. Unlike coloring, it has no color, but you can change that. A few things you can block out include names, actions, questions, and take-away thoughts. Beyond that, try out a few schemes and see what works." Delete the scoop?
