This is a good starting point for using portfolios. It provides information into the various kinds of portfolios which can be looked at more closely depending on need.

I love how author Patricia Brown states in her opening paragraph: Unlike “using” technology, which can seem more like an arbitrary afterthought, integrating technology can be a planned, purposeful part of the classroom environment

I'm hoping this is becoming more common knowledge but it is worth repeating until we no longer see tech being used as very expensive pencils/worksheets.
