The death of reading and contemplative thinking  is a global problem. Unfortunately, I'm not too sure current educationAl policy has room for creative thinkers. There is a fixed body of knowledge that must be mastered. However, mastering that knowledge is no guarantee of future success. We live in an age where economies do more with less. So individuals must posses creative thinking faculties in order to build a fruitful life. Reading and creativity are vital to this new world. However, it's not as important in mastering a body of knowledge to attain a certificate that leads to no where for so many.

Not all men are going to be cut out for college. there must be a serious public policy discussion on male labor hours. If guys cannot find work its not acceptable to just have mass incarceration.  Large numbers of men outside the labor force is destabilizing.

Since the start of December, he's been starring in a musical version of Bret Easton Ellis's American Psycho at London's Almeida theatre.

Oh! I would so love to see this. First off, I love the film staring Christisn Bale as Patrick  Bateman. The movie is Wall Street for serial killers. It's terrific. The play stars the great Dr. Who himself Matt Smith.  Shall I say brilliant.
