Christopher Meeks: Finding your voice - making your writing sound like YOU

Christopher Meeks: Finding your voice - making your writing sound like YOU | Creatively Aging | Scoop.it

Christopher Meeks: Developing a voice in your writing is a notion that passes over me every now and then like the "thung" sound of an error message on my computer. "I should develop a voice," I think. "My voice is off today," I think. "Maybe I should work on that voice thing," I think.

Christopher Meeks: Writing lessons - facing a blank screen and winning | Creatively Aging | Scoop.it

Christopher Meeks: For a few seconds, I pictured writing the words "I'm stuck"and simply sending it in as a column.

The great writing teacher Christopher Meeks shares some insight into idea generation and writer's block demolition in this vintage article.

The article was online for years, but then disappeared along with the eFuse website. Special thanks goes to Archive.org and the Wayback Machine for making this article available.

I use this for my 6-Traits writing class, but it applies to all writers who want to be better writers.  Notice the links to other articles in this series. (It's a gold mine of great wriitng advice.)
