Questions as a Business Tool

Not all questions have the same value. Some questions have an "irritation value" and all they do is antagonize the customer. On the other end there are questions that mine customer information.Why do you like this soft drink? Because it makes me feel fresh. There is an opportunity here that freshness is an issue f the customer that would be worthy of exploration. I offer new perspectives on different facets of life and businesses. I want to disrupt some conventional thinking.Mostly you are aware of the Maslow Pyramid of needs. Why Do I Write for LinkedIn?

A question hovered over my mind- why do I write for LinkedIn?Is it for money? Money is a strong motivator, but I am not paid. In fact, I have been approached to write paid posts for some blogs and I turned them down.For fame- Well I get thousands more views on SlideShare than I get on LinkedInFor recognition_ it is too late to try to get recognition because of my ageFor learning- they say if you want to understand something teach it. I say if you want to understand something write it. Yes, I want to learn and writing helps me do that.For venting off my ideas- this could be a powerful motive.

There are many times that we find ourselves standing on the peak of glory and sometimes by doing no effort. This morning I was looking at the analysis f the daily report of number of views of my SlideShare presentations. The daily average increase is close to 225+-25. This time the views shot up to more than 2000. I found myself setting on a peak effortlessly.This situation recurs in our lives:
A student with an average of 60 all of a sudden gets 95 and above.
An investor in the stock market makes modest daily profits and by a stroke of luck the profits skyrocket.

The story started in 1983 and culminated in 1984 by publishing a research paper in one of the most prestigious scientific journals.
