Keiran Kane sings in a beautiful song called Just Like That: "...History Lesson number 2: not what you say, but what you do"... so important to understand the current water crisis in California. Australian landscape managers and farmers need to keep awake to the potential for similar outcomes and keep up the critical landcare work. Giving the water portfolio to the conservatives might be a problem unless they can act with a mindset on 'geological time' and our common responsibilities to underground water conservation. Cant waste this critical precious resource in the 3-year political game.
