google has snapped up waze, an israeli startup that has gained popularity by crowdsourcing traffic conditions as people use the app to navigate.

As an early-adopter - I grabbed WAZE shortly after it launched... And if I am at a complete stand-still - I have played with it a bit... to me - the jury is still out of the social media integration with a map tool... by default this seems to create a 'safety' issue... No?
