Fascinating article that gives a measure of hope to those facing dementia in the latter stages of life.  Research seems to indicate that small, undetected strokes may predispose the brain toward dementia and other neurological problems.  Simple life changes could mitigate so-called "untreatable" dementias.  Control over high blood pressure, cholesterol, diabetes, lack of exercise, and even smoking could prevent these strokes and, thus, improve brain health.  Get fit, eat right, and quit smoking.  You may live a better quality of life in the process.  Aloha, Russ.
