Brain-based learning? I'd love to know what non-brain-based learning looks like!!!

 

Despite the slightly odd title, this is an absolutely brilliant article about making kids aware of what is going on in their brains when they learn. I really like the booklet that is linked to that explains in layman's terms about the 'filters' the brain uses to decide whether information gets to the learning centre in the brain. It reinforces the work of people like Shaun Achor who says learning won't happen if the kids aren't happy...
