It’s hard to know where to begin in describing the iOS app Tapikeo, which just received a fairly substantial update to its iPad version (iTunes, $2.99). “Audio picturebook creator” really doesn’t do it justice. Nor does “flashcard maker.” Nor does “storyboard creation tool.” Nor does AAC app. It’s all of those things and more.

We have spent a lot of time on our blog sharing iPad/iPhone apps that are great for higher education and for use in the classroom. Some of the best apps are great for educational purposes, but some are just really cool and fun! It is a multi-track audio editing app that is as robust as you will ever need (unless of course you teach audio production). Later this week I will be posting a new page full of Garageband resources for teachers, students and learning. For now, you can get your brain juices flowing by reading the list below, watching the embeded ‘how to’ videos, and then go start playing with Garageband yourself!
