Very relevant article Ben, I also agree that proliferation is the key to effective consumer engagement with the test and learn method. With this method they are able to test the strategies and see if they are worth while.

I agree with both of you in that proliferation is a key element in engaging the customer. But I also believe that purpose is equally important. Understanding your brand allows for better portrayal to consumers. Gaining more attention and forming loyal relationships can result from this which is why I view it to be of great importance. A very enlightening article Ben,

An extremely relevant article Ben. I particularly like the mention of technology and its importance in actively engaging the consumer. Without establishing a reliable platform for effective communication engaging the consumer at a personal level would be very difficult.
Marcel Renata's comment, September 26, 2013 5:33 AM
As Ben said, the article focuses on building consumer engagement and the importance of integration. The use of ever evolving technology needs to be implemented to create active contact with consumers, making them feel personally connected to the brand. The identification and understanding of the target consumer is vital, and the article covers statistical analysis of how to achieve a strong understanding, leading to a successful integration of technology and marketing.

Customers Are More Likely To Trust, Buy From Brands Who Use Social Media [INFOGRAPHIC]
Benjamin Finnigan's insight:

this article is about how customers are more likely to buy from brands who use social media as a marketing tool. the article has included some ver pleaseing graphics and has been well researched so we know that the facts are true. I do think however that the article is lacking in reasoning as to why social media makes your brand more attractive, as they have just stated a fact and not explained why it has occured.

Very true Ben, there isn't much elaboration as to why social media platforms engage consumers so well. I do however like the graphics and the statistics that give definitive percentages of relation between consumer trust and the use of social media platforms by businesses.
Tyler 's comment, September 25, 2013 7:51 PM
I do agree that consumers tend to trust brands with social networks because it is a very useful marketing tool and shows the customers that they are trying to engage with them.

Hi Thim, although I agree with what you said, I would just like to add something important which is personal selling and public relations. I think having to personally persuade and engage with the consumers changes their mindset from negative to positive about the company or even from good to better. Having to pay the price and lead to a greater profit in the end will all be worth it.
Brittany R Taylor's comment, September 26, 2013 7:04 PM
The article is very thorough but more theory based nd doesn't give any examples to real life situations. With the article focusing on 4 parts; Advertising, Personal Selling and Sales Promotion and PR, the article gives a good blend of business tools. But like I said above, there needs to be examples.
TSZ HA FUNG's comment, September 26, 2013 7:46 PM
Most company use advertising to achieve mass communication and gain brand awareness, but company need to pay a large amount of money to advertiser, however, company have control of what message to distribute is more safe while compare to public relation is control by reporter.
