CAIRO (Reuters) - The head of Syria's main opposition coalition said on Monday the group had not had any communication with the Syrian government after Damascus said it was ready to talk to the armed opposition.

A group of anti-Gaddafi Libyans resident in Malta are going to court this evening in an attempt to stop the departure from Malta of a tanker which they say is heading for Libya. Earlier today they protested outside Malta Freeport and the OilTanking facility, claiming that arrangements had been made for a Turkish owned, Maltese flagged, tanker Mubariz Ibrahimov to carry a consignment of fuel to Libya.
