It is true that grief has no timeline but merely oscilations of emotion that seem to make no sense and can be triggered at anytime.  The one thing we do know is that the peaks and valleys even out more, but that does not mean their can be a high peak of grief at any given time.  Loss is forever and hence so is grief.

It's been 20 years since my first episode with depression. I've learned much about life and God, but the fact still remains: I don't fully understand him — but I do finally understand why, in my darkest of moments, He was silent. And I am grateful.
