WASHINGTON - May 31, 2013 - The Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers (PARCC) today announced a series of Twitter town halls to answer questions on the new, computer-based assessments aligned to the Common Core State Standards. The PARCC assessments currently being developed by a 22-state consortium are designed to replace existing state tests. They will first be given in the 2014-2015 school year.
This first chat will focus on general PARCC questions and subsequent town halls will focus on more specific issues, such as questions from teachers, mathematics and English language arts content, higher education, technology and upcoming PARCC releases. All Twitter town halls will use the #askPARCC hashtag.
