Lesson 9:  Participate (Achievement).

The story of Eric Moussambani's participation at the Olympics is an inspirational one.  It was not about winning, it was about having a go.

There are some amazing quotes within this article that encompass the importance of participation and encouraging others.

"The most important thing in the Olympic Games is not winning but taking part; the essential thing in life is not conquering but fighting well" – Baron Pierre de Coubertin, International Olympic Committee founder and father of the modern Games.

"The first 50 metres were OK, but in the second 50 metres I got a bit worried and thought I wasn't going to make it," said a dripping, visibly shattered, but elated Moussambani after he had dragged himself out of the pool. "Then something happened. I think it was all the people getting behind me. I was really, really proud. It's still a great feeling for me and I loved when everyone applauded me at the end. I felt like I had won a medal or something." - Eric Moussambani.

A magical device that could help you to be prepared and organised would be very handy at times.  Ron and Harry avoid tasks and often fall behind with their work.  More often than not they end up completing a 'rushed job' at the last minute, late into the night, which results in them being tired, stressed and grumpy.

Hermione optimises this week’s PBL lesson as her learning is more effective due to her organisation and she actively seeks to encourage her friends to understand this principle.
