46 Tools To Make Infographics In The Classroom

46 Tools To Make Infographics In The Classroom | TEFL & Ed Tech | Scoop.it

Infographics are interesting–a mash of (hopefully) easily-consumed visuals (so, symbols, shapes, and images) and added relevant character-based data (so, numbers, words, and brief sentences).

The learning application for them is clear, with many academic standards–including the Common Core standards–requiring teachers to use a variety of media forms, charts, and other data for both information reading as well as general fluency...

Las infografías son una herramienta muy útil por su factor visual: en poco espacio y de forma visulamente agradable y atrayente, engloba datos y relaciona conceptos.

Templates are great because they provide some structure to the design of your online training. But many times templates become so rigid that instead of helping the training design, they inhibit it.

the Essay Map for everyone struggling with the essay structure

Emma King's curator insight, April 29, 2013 8:25 PM

I believe this resource would be extremely helpful in aiding students’ understanding of essay structure, and will be helpful in allowing students to plan their essay. This site sets out the main paragraphs of the essay into sections whereby students can gain an understanding of what each paragraph must contain. For example, the Introduction section reads ‘write one or two sentences that introduce your topic, including a brief description of your main ideas’. This then continues on to three boxes for ‘main ideas’ on the topic whereby information can be added. This site is valuable to students as it not only enhances their English writing abilities, but their essay writing in other subjects will also be improved.

I have been too busy lately to share this great new development at Wikispaces, so I want to take a few minutes this morning to do just that...

Wikispaces has announced a wonderful new feature for educators called Wikispaces Classroom.  Wikispaces was already a powerful and easy-to-use tool for collaboration, but now it includes features that teachers will find even more useful for using the Wikispaces platform for a wide variety of learning experiences.

This blog post on the Wikispaces blog provides some essential "getting started" information and I encourage you to explore how to use Wikispaces Classroom with your students today!

For more information about Wikispaces Classroom, check out these recent blog posts directly from the Wikispaces team:
