Lino's curator insight, July 12, 2013 1:13 AM

5 Tips For Keeping Students On Task While Using Technology | TEFL & Ed Tech | Scoop.it

"Playing games, chatting with their friends, and browsing the internet are all likely suspects drawing your students’ attention away from whatever the task at hand happens to be, but just because students have access to technology doesn’t mean you have to transform into device police and forget about teaching. Even if your students would much rather be watching videos on YouTube than learning about the Roman Empire, you still have the upper hand: they want to be using the device. Period."

Plagiarism is a hot topic in the academic world, but it applies in all aspects of our lives. In a country and culture that values intellectual property, it is imperative that we are conscious of plagiarism guidelines and standards. The reality is, in many facets of life, when we make mistakes, we can claim ignorance. 4 Neurosystems Of Learning

4 Neurosystems Of Learning | TEFL & Ed Tech | Scoop.it

Understanding how the brain actually learns has been a a scientific challenge for millennia.

Based on recent advances in neuroscience and its application to learning, there is an emerging model of how the brain learns and it is unlike anything that was expected. It is suggested that the brain does not have one learning system but rather four integrated systems–each with its own unique memory pattern and accompaniments.
