Sometimes one might think providing assistive technology is a fast solution, however one has to know how to implement it.  For example a common type of assistive technology can be speech to text software.  Many speech to text software platforms exist, one as the provider has to be knowledgeable in terms of the disability one is combating and if the specific software will work for it.  Different software contains different features, features that can make a difference in learning.  It is our responsibility to be aware of what is being used and how it is being used.
