Yemen is carrying out DNA tests to identify suspected militants killed in air strikes in recent days, amid reports they include al-Qaeda leaders.
The only way to kill a terrorist is to kill the reason for how he/she became a terrorist.
Has the US honestly considered listening to what the Islamic world (and indeed, much of the rest of the world) is saying about us, with all of this fancy NSA spying equipment? Is anyone paying attention to what is fueling these otherwise generally well off men and women to fight or to lead fights against us?
I doubt it, because that would imply that we're doing something wrong and, typical of human nature, we don't like to imagine that we're somehow in the wrong.
You can't kill a terrorist by destroying his/her body. You do it by destroying the emotional reason behind their recruitment and then, you tip the balance in THEIR society against their more conservative members who are willing to attack and hurt us just for the sake of attacking and hurting us.
Will it eliminate terrorist threats against us?
Of course not.
But it will make it substantially more difficult for them to carry out their attacks, due to the social pressure that's then placed upon them not to fight from their own people.
It will only be through changing ourselves that we will move beyond the threat of Islamic terrorism on the empirical level of existence.
But, since our current leadership does not live on the actual plane of existence, I doubt that this will be the case in the near to distant future.
They'll just find other people who are capable, charismatic and willing to fight against the American Empire.
Just like the Irish against the English.
Think about it.
