If you've been negatively impacted by an algorithmic update, it's easy to blame Google. Instead, try to figure out what your site has in common with other sites that were targeted. Finding the bad signature and fixing it is the key to your recovery.

Google cares about making its own product the best it can possibly be. If it ranks you improperly, there's no use whinging about them being nasty -- since they've probably barely given it a second thought (and I love Google, personally). Rather, the better path is to figure out WHY you're getting penalized and move on.
