Dans votre bain, vous ne mettez pas que de l’eau chaude ou de l’eau froide, n’est-ce pas? Dans un site web, c’est pareil. Il faut un subtil mélange de contenus web chauds et de contenus froids pour satisfaire vos lecteurs. Et c’est souvent plus difficile que de tourner le robinet de votre mitigeur…

It's not rocket science. Good content must be compelling/engaging, audience- targeted, timely and consistent (take note of the "take note" section-smart reminder tips)

Social media have changed the name of the game when it comes to successful brands to consumer communication practices. More and more people are interacting with their favourite brands by means of Twitter, Facebook and other social media platforms. The problem is that the sheer number of social media users makes it near impossible for businesses to personally interact with each and every fan. This paper describes how to build and utilise an optimised dialogue decision tree. This model is in essence, scripted dialogue, but it allows for personal involvement and customisation as it is not automated. Using this model, Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs was able to talk to 10,000 people in about one week — and with only two community managers. This shows that businesses can interact with every single fan in a personal way and they can increase customer satisfaction and overall revenue. The challenges presented by social media are also inspiring because they are also opportunities for growth.

In Silicon Valley, “lean” is the key to startup strategy. Could it also describe a more effective content marketing approach? The approach is iterative — it consists of repeating a process and shaping it with feedback until you reach an intended goal. Lean marketers push campaigns live before they’re “perfect,” learn from the data that results, and use that knowledge to make improvements in their next campaign. Essentially, the model promotes learning as you go, saving time and resources in the process. Some marketers already practice lean content marketing — whether they know it or not. Fundamentally, it’s a more structured approach to shaping content through experimentation. Still, looking at effective content marketing through the lens of lean methodology is particularly intriguing. Everyone wants to cut the fat from their work flows. The good news is that applying lean methodology to your content marketing efforts is pretty easy to do....
