There is such thing as hashtags abuse and you want to avoid it. You know what I mean, those #people #who #hashtag #every #word #in #their #post.  As with all social media, hashtags are effective when you focus on targeting the right people and connecting. It’s always quality over quantity.  Sure you can tap into more traffic if you hashtag every word, but how much of that traffic is actually going to help you?

Of we are to believe these numbers....

 

The Content Marketing Institute reported in January that the vast majority of business-to-business (B2B) marketers distributed their content via social media sites.

The breakdown:

83 percent distributed content via LinkedIn;80 percent via Twitter;80 percent via Facebook;61 percent via YouTube; and39 percent via Google+.

When it comes to social media, it's really easy to use personal accounts for business and business accounts for personal interests. In fact, it's often recommended that you show some personality on your business accounts! But how much is too much? How many work-related posts to your personal account will be too much for your friends and family to stand?
