I selected this article from Curatti written by Andy Capaloff because it explains how to encourage your customers to engage in your surveys in the midst of so many others.
Stand out from the rest of the competition and decide if surveys are right for your business.
How to Attract More Feedback and Sales
In today's online world we are inundated with reviews and businesses asking us for our opinion. I agree that in order to be successful in reaching our customers we need to approach them the right way.
Capaloff goes over the pros and cons of using surveys to gain feedback on your products or services.
Here's what caught my attention:
- The preferences vary among survey takers according to Survey Monkey. Only 34 percent take it for an incentive while 91 percent prefer to leave their feedback.
- How you ask the question matters and can affect your response rate. Avoid using leading questions and instead focus on compelling the reader to action.
- Focus on the people who are taking your survey. Find out whether these are in your target market who are they just interested in an incentive?
