4 Powerful Ways to Use Engaging Content to Build Business Relationships

4 Powerful Ways to Use Engaging Content to Build Business Relationships | Curation, Social Business and Beyond | Scoop.it
I liked this post because it's a fact that good content is a key component in building solid relationships. I have met amazing people on twitter, for example, just by following people who consistently point me in the direction of content I'm interested in. It has never mattered whether they wrote it or selected it for sharing with others. I never would have had access to this information, story or whatever the case may be. It's like brain candy with lots of other gifts and opportunities that come with it if you participate on a regular basis.

I really liked this article because it gives you good information on how to capitalize on marketing content to attract people of like minds to buy your products and services, collaborate with, and/ or just help yourself and others stay informed about things of interest to you.

Building Relationships With Content Marketing...

More and more successful businesses are jumping onboard the content marketing bandwagon. They understand engaging content improves lead generation and conversion rates, but quality content does more – it builds relationships.

Powerful content not only makes you think, it makes you feeling something. When you read something so compelling, you just have to tell that writer how you loved their work or share it with everyone you know. Am I right?

Pure creation is demanding. Pure automation doesn’t engage. Curating content can provide the best of both.

TEDActive’s lesson: the value of curation

TEDActive’s lesson: the value of curation | Curation, Social Business and Beyond | Scoop.it
Anyone who wants to engage, attract, inspire, galvanize, retain, excite, or have any positive influence on an audience and keep them coming back for more needs to learn how to curate.

As corporations want the benefits of replacing original branded (and expensive) Web content with (inexpensive) social media and user-generated content, curation is the only way to make that content effective at engaging an audience. Just because you have 45 blogs and 10 communities and 32 webinars in a quarter doesn’t mean you’re attracting and retaining a mass audience. For that, you need to curate that content into something meaningful.

Curation Is Not Cheap Content...

Curation Is Not Cheap Content... | Curation, Social Business and Beyond | Scoop.it
For curation to be done well it needs context. Publishing some links is of not much benefit to anyone if you can't explain why this content has been chosen, it requires some rationale for the choice and also: it needs to take the story further.

That's what curation online also has to demonstrate: mastery, passion, knowledge, and expertise. Without such additional layers, a curated collection of links is just a collection of links. Which is why curation cannot be easily handed off to a junior, or an intern, unless they really know their stuff.
