James J. Goldsmith's insight:

6 Types of Blended Learning

6 Types of Blended Learning | Contemporary Learning Design | Scoop.it
Blended Learning is not so much an innovation as it is a natural by-product of the digital domain creeping into physical boundaries. As digital and social media become more and more prevalent in the life of learners, it was only a matter of time before learning became “blended” by necessity.

That said, there’s a bit more to Blended and “Hybrid” Learning than throwing in a little digital learning.

James J. Goldsmith's insight:

In addition to our own memories, there is “E-Memory” which is “information available on the devices we use to record, store and search – our smartphones, tablets and computers.”  Per the author, mobile phones (and mobile learning) will increasingly serve as a bridge between our memories and E-Memory.  An interesting concept but I think we’ve already had the equivalent of E-Memory devices for thousands of years (primarily in the form of books).

Dr. Deborah Brennan's curator insight, May 22, 2:58 PM

These strategies are the essential foundation of what all good teachers do.  Every article and book that I have read about school improvement and effective teaching seems for focus on these same strategies.  We know it...but do we do it?  WITH FIDELITY?  I think that is often where it breaks down. These strategies need to be a part of EVERY lesson...EVERY day. They become highly effective when they are implemented consistently and intentionally.  With all teachers are required to do, it is easy to lose focus on intentionally using these effective strategies.

Alfio Gangemi's curator insight, May 24, 8:38 PM
