This article shows the importance of branding and how we can btuild a strong brand. This article tells us that building a strong brand is vital for any organization in order to survive in competitive market, and then there are 3 steps for it. First, brand identity creates the brand’s representative image to consumers in a most visual way, such as logo design, website and print collaterals. It would be the same effect as the image of apple when we think about Iphone. The second step is that for effective brand strategy, the brand needs a central unifying idea and communication. Lastly, branding is the process for customer loyalty and consistency is the key for it. I agree that consistency has huge impact on building a strong brand and consumer loyalty. These days, consumers no longer look for price; they also expect the quality and trust from the company. Therefore, keeping a consistency is the best way to show consumers that we are reliable. In my opinion, this article is trying to tell us that branding is not just for consumers and market competition, but it’s also for the company itself to understand what they are.

Brands, listen up. The visuals-based platform registers engagement 18 times that of Facebook and 48 times that of Twitter, according to new research.
Linda Huynh's insight:

I personally use Instagram and would definately say that Instagram has become one of the top consumer engagement. People these days all own smart phones and love to document every little things where is be the food they just had, the new toys they just brought or just that beautiful sunset on on a warm summers day. Without all these everyday people uploading photos they give out free advertising for firms and companies. Just like the article mentions, Chanel does not have an official Instagram but they have millions of tags of their products, with all they tags, it shows so much engagement from consumers. They always say a picture is worth a 1,000 words, therefore its just more user friendly to use this time of social media for consumer engagement.

I am using instagram everyday. Instagram is a fast, beautiful and fun way to share our life with friends and family. We can taske a picture or video, choose a filter to transform its look and feel, then post to Instagram. Also we can even share to Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr and more. The instagram’s users are growing rapidly. Because the way how instagram engage with consumers in global. Instagram's community is responsible for its own formation and though this community formed around a piece of commercial software, the relationships within it are real and the result of a significant investment of time and energy and trust. Now that those relationships have turned out to be commodities, many people feel exposed and cheated.

Instagram is a really fun and user-friendly app that you can always share your photo with families and friends immediately. It is stated in the article that Instagram engages more people than other social media platform like Facebook or Twitter. It is because people are more easily get engaged with visual things like photos, videos and so on. Therefore, I think to visualize your massage of a product or service is a good way to engage customers and it is also more attractive than just simple words. As for brands, by this app, marketer can simply do brand image or logo placement into general photos or cooperate with those popular Instagram accounts holders who have a lot followers and huge influence. This can increase brand awareness and public exposures.
