Brands, listen up. The visuals-based platform registers engagement 18 times that of Facebook and 48 times that of Twitter, according to new research.
Jacinda Alexander's insight:
This article was very insightful for me as I had no idea that Instagram has become such a massive hit with not only people but sharing brands by using the hash tag symbol. I did not know that some of the brands did not have their own Instagram page but yet people still have branded them using the hashtag symbol. Instagram is becoming a platform for consumers to engage with. It’s only just a picture at the end of the day but it’s amazing how many people see it and hashtag it. This is just one of many social networking sites, but it seems to be doing by far the best when it comes to getting people’s attention as this is a based on visual content which engages consumers. This social media isn’t as big as Facebook or YouTube yet but it is heading that way as more and more people are starting to use it day to day. I know that i do and check it more than twice a day.
