More people use free versions of streaming music services than paid versions, which directly affects the financial success of these steaming music services and will likely cause them to stop offering free services.

This feels like just another claim for the service providers to make for their case. People can't get paid well for their music because there's just no money being put into the service. How do artists expect these services to stay alive without a flow of money? Instead of fighting it why not promote it and help yourself and the service out like many indie artists already do?
