Mercer: Harper And The Tories Are Thieves

Ottawa's events is a lesson in planning for failure. Feeling so sad for this great country
pdeppisch's comment, October 22, 11:38 PM
I certainly think that Harper has turned Canada more into GOP country and an Oligarchy but terrorism is nasty. So - what to do - have armed guards or the army seriously guarding everything? Killing that poor reserve corporal is barbaric. To kill basically an unarmed soldier who does guard duty at a war memorial is despicable and barbaric. I used to be in the Canadian Reserve and what happens now on November 11th. Real soldiers with real guns while we await another terrorist going stupid?

pdeppisch's comment, October 20, 11:44 AM
Making a living in Canada has been going downhill after Communism died in Russia - now we can but unions - and when shareholder value become the end all, i.e. corporations only goal now is "shareholder value". Read up on Mr. T. Bone Pickens and his Texas billionaire friends and the damage caused. Life was very good in the '50's and '60's in Canada. You could get a job and live decently. Not any more.
