Conner Kempe Finishes First Year of Law School
Conner Kempe is a student of the law. After he finished his undergraduate degree at Dartmouth College majoring in economics, Conner Kempe was ready to jump into a career in law. "I applied for over 20 law schools. Ultimately, I had turned down some scholarships and acceptances to other law schools in order to attend Stetson University College of Law," says Conner Kempe.
Prior to attending Stetson, Conner Kempe was active as a football player. "I was an Ivy League Quarterback at Dartmouth. I miss the football field of Dartmouth but I'm thrilled to be a law student," admits Conner Kempe. Conner Kempe was highly regarded in football both as a high school quarterback and college quarterback. "It is nice to get out on the field and throw the ball around as a break from my studies," admits Conner Kempe.
After graduating from Dartmouth in 2012, Conner Kempe is projected to graduate from Stetson in 2015. "I love Stetson; how many law schools are like a Misner resort? Stetson is great with an exercise room, two pools, tennis courts, and a location just a mile from the beach," says Conner Kempe.
Although he has just about completed his first year of law school already, Conner Kempe is contemplating two different paths, both of which follow with his interest in law. "I'm interested in public interest and environmental law," explains Conner Kempe; "my focus in public interest relates, I believe, to my time at Dartmouth and focusing on bettering our society."
The other legal path Conner Kempe can follow would lead him to likely pursue wealth management and estate planning. Following the other path would, Conner Kempe says, lead him to "return to my father's law firm on the Treasury Coast of Florida, in Jupiter." With the completion of his first year, Conner Kempe still questions which direction suits him best.
"No matter the direction I take, I may go to one more year of post-doctorate law to obtain an LL.M. degree, but I have not yet chosen a specialty," admits Conner Kempe. He still has time to decide his direction. Conner Kempe hopes to use his life in law to pay back society and do something worthy with his life.
