"Connectivism for EFL Teachers" is the result of reflections, at length, with how I teach. I have learned how to teach by literally sitting at the feet of some of the most respected, talented, and gifted teachers in the ELT profession.
I read this post by Sarah on Is Connectivism a credible theoretical framework for my EdD research? This is a challenging one, as least to me.
Connectivism explains that we learn via the networks we develop, so the emphasis is not on content (behaviourism) or the process of learning (constructivism) but rather the connections we make to nodes which may be people, information sources or non-human appliances.

The idea is to enrich connectivism by giving some psychological content.
When I first posted my original document on connectivism, I received a fair bit of interest in exploring the concept with publishers.
In general, I try to complement rather than repeat what Stephen writes (which is just as well, seeing how prolific he is). However, I’m highlighting his latest post, because it brings together all in one place an overview of his views on the development of e-learning, and in particular the different aspects and approaches to e-learning that have developed over more than 20 years

In a response to my previous post, fellow CCK12 MOOCer and blogger, Matt Bury, describes a number of techniques that he uses to build communities of inquiry and practice in his classrooms, and it r...

Is Connectivism a new learning theory? Let me be very honest and state as an outsider who got into training, I have not spent a lot of time pondering over learning theories.

A MOOC is an attempt to apply connectivist theory. A MOOC is not only an applied epistemology and way of organizating learning, but also an ethic community.
After reading Jenny and Carmen's paper on Connectivism and Dimensions on Individual experience and now Heli's post, I would like to reflect on what those three theories mean under Networked Learnin...
Connectivism has been offered as a new learning theory for a digital age, with four key principles for learning: autonomy, connectedness, diversity, and openness. The testing ground for this theory has been massive open online courses (MOOCs).
In recent years I have been working on two major concepts: first, the connectivist theory of online learning, which views learning as a network process; and second, the massive open online course, or MOOC, which is an instantiation of that process. These, however, represent only the most recent of what can be seen as a series of 'generations' of e-learning. In this talk I describe these generations and discuss how they led to, and are a part of, the most recent work in online learning.
Analyzing why I disagreed with my opponents during conversations, I realized that ,seldom, it was different interests; more often it was different meanings of words. Imagine dialog between two peop...
