I have been thinking about how I have a contrary opinion of Connectivism as it is applied in education. Most of the time, I hear the properties of Social Constructivism mislabeled as Connectivism without regard to the special ...

Behaviourism, Constructivism and Connectivism Theories. Learning Theories. The Behaviourism theory “dictates what knowledge the learners will learn, in what order they will learn it and how it is to be learnt”.
It seems good to focus on one or two particular learning theories – like behaviorism, cognitivism, constructivism or connectivism and see how they would make a difference to my teaching and learning. Behaviorism could ...
Hence people see a relation between connectivism and constructivism or active learning (to name a couple). In connectivism, a phrase like 'constructing meaning' makes no sense. Connections form naturally, through a ...

Constructivism offers the modeling of all factors into new knowledge and Connectivism connects these dynamics as one needs them (Ormrod, 2009). It would be simple to look at them one by one but education is very complex ...
