The Open Observatory of Network Interference has released its report on the errors made by T-Mobile USA Web Guard, an Internet censorship product that T-Mobile customers can opt into. Web Guard blocks the website for the Tor Project (an anti-censorship tool), an Italian page that is displayed to users blocked by Italy's national censoring firewall, the Internet Archive, the website for Cosmopolitan magazine, a Chinese sports news website, a site that helps you keep your referer information private, a French economics site, a 9/11 conspiracy site, a Greek political blog, and many others.

Paid-account users see a pop-up message offering account upgrades or pricey chunks of additional data, called "Top Ups," that cost $7 for 250 megabytes or $20 for 1 gigabyte. I am in love with in flight WiFi. But, unlike many of the reviews of in flight WiFi, I’m not on a plane, or even planning to travel. I’m sitting on my couch, completely enamored with In-Flight WiFi from GoGo. 
Sprint just announced that it has decided to terminate its agreement with LightSquared. The deal would've allowed Sprint to operate a 4G LTE network utilizing 1.6GHz spectrum from LightSquared. However, the agreement also made note of possible interference issues with LightSquared's spectrum, and so Sprint has decided to exercise its right to axe the contract since LightSquared has been unable to gain FCC approval to begin building out its LTE network. JFK Airport parking facility, SmartPark JFK, today announced the launch of their new JFK parking iPhone App for placing parking reservations. The app works on all iPhones, iPads and the iPod touch. T-Mobile USA and Wal-Mart have teamed up to offer an inexpensive "Monthly4G" plan that emphasizes data. For $30 per month, without an annual contract, subscribers receive only 100 minutes of voice but "unlimited" data and SMS. 
Travelers this holiday season are getting a welcome gift from Skype in the form of free Wi-Fi access at more than 50 U.S. airports to place voice or video calls over Skype’s service. The year-end promotion runs from Dec. 21 through Dec. 27; a time when many are hitting the skies to visit relatives and friends over the holidays.
