Tan Kai Li's insight:

Racial and religious discrimination had resulted many wars and conflicts in the past and it is continuing to the present. This is mainly because people cannot accept people of other race and religion. Thus, this often sparks off conflict among different groups of people which results in disastrous effects. I strongly this unnecessary conflicts can be terminated if people can give respect to other races and religions.

Anti-Semitic Rioters Attack Paris Synagogues

Anti-Semitic Rioters Attack Paris Synagogues | Conflict and prejudice | Scoop.it

Three Paris synagogues sustained anti-Semitic attacks over the weekend with rioters sending three Jews to the hospital. Two of the attacks occurred after a violent group splintered from a mostly peaceful protest against violence in the Mideast. Up to 200 were trapped inside one of the synagogues that was performing a ceremony in honor of three recently killed Israeli teens. Western Europe’s largest Muslim and Jewish populations reside in France and the ongoing Israel-Palestinan conflicts have exacerbated on and off again tensions there.

Tan Kai Li's insight:

It is unfair that the Jewish should discriminated by the anti-Semitic. Similar to other races, they have they own beliefs and customs. Thus, there should not be a reason why the anit-semitic should discriminate them. It is also disrespectful to damage the synagogues as it a religious place. They should appreciate and understand races differing from theirs. I feel the the President should adopt a more effective measure to bring about a better change to this problem. Since words are not heeded by the people, actions should be taken.

Israel-Palestine conflict reignited once again

Israel-Palestine conflict reignited once again | Conflict and prejudice | Scoop.it

Both sides have used deadly force against one another and both sides have suffered civilian casualties. There is no clear solution for this complex issue, but it is clear that the use of rockets, instead of diplomacy, is not working. Justifying mass murder for the sake of religious preservation is unacceptable and both sides need to work on a peaceful solution.

Tan Kai Li's insight:

Violence is not a solution to problems. I find the violent conflict between the two countries meaningless. After decades of violence, the problem eventually have not been solved however the amount of people, whether innocent bystanders or war-fighters, who perished can never be replaced. These worthless sacrifices can definitely be avoided if people can be more accepting of the other races.
