Israel-Gaza Conflict Takes Toll On Pregnant Women
Huffington Post
GAZA CITY -- When Israeli airstrikes hit Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza this week, Sena Alissa held her pregnant belly as blood dripped between her legs.
Jia Ling's insight:

This article again addresses the issue of the Gaza Strip Bombing caused by the Israeli soldiers and the terrorist. After reading this article, I got mixed feelings as firstly, it really puts my mind at ease after reading that the lady safely gave birth during the war. Secondly, however, this article also gives me terror and chills as I read about how the war causes so many people to lose their lives and that people cannot live in peace everyday due to the bombings and the rocket. Every seconds, minutes and hours, people have to live in fear, fearing that in split seconds their love ones might be gone, just like how the mother fears for her new-born child and wants to protect her newborn baby girl. From this article, I feel the importance of cherishing your love ones and protecting them at any course.

The Israel-Gaza conflict has affected even pregnant women in Israel. Without this conflict, they would not have to worry about all these pregnant women as they would be able to focus on helping them but due to the conflict, they are unable to do so and this affected those pregnant women experiencing this.

Jia Ling's insight:

After reading this article, I feel grief-stricken for those who have lost their lives to the Gaza Strip bombing incident, especially the innocent and young child who have not commit any sins to deserve such tragedy. The recent incident have got to do with racism between the Jews, Muslims and the Arabs, as well as the different religions like Judaism and Islam. I personally feel that such conflicts and wars cannot be reduce so easily as these conflicts have occurred again and again over the last few decades and that it has to do with the discrimination by the citizens.

Those Girls Haven’t Been Brought Back

Those Girls Haven’t Been Brought Back | Conflict and Prejudice | Scoop.it
Leaders love to talk a good game on promoting education, but they don’t deliver.
Jia Ling's insight:

In the middle of the night, approximately about 300 girls were being kidnapped from their school in Nigeria by Islamist militant group -- Boko Haram, to opposed to the Western culture as well as the girl's education.  Many people in Nigeria are protesting over this incident and there is even a #BringBackOurGirls campaign host to protest against such unacceptable act. I feel indignant for those girls who had been kidnapped by the Islamist militant group as everyone have their rights to receive education be it where they come from or what gender they are, also such sexism and discrimination should be stopped.
