Stencils are objects that mimic various user interface elements. We have plenty of them and we'll keep adding more to cover various needs.

Some stencils have **editable content** and others have **configurable properties** like color, shape, states, etc.
There are stencils that don't have configuration options or they can't be edited at all.

Feel free to play around with them to discover who's who.

Kathleen Cercone's curator insight, February 13, 2013 9:26 AM

Seating charts are an essential part of any good teacher’s tool kit. They help organise students into appropriate learning groups and minimise behaviour issues – the class teacher asserts their authority before the lesson even begins. We take seating charts a step further. You can optionally include and display key data (eg SEN, reading age) about each pupil which is used to intelligently position pupils in the classroom to maximise learning.

I like the list, but was disappointed that it had duplications. It listed sites that I felt were not Web 2.0, or very useful in the classroom.
Ana Cristina Pratas's comment, September 12, 2012 2:29 AM
Hi Ken,

I tend to agree with you, but on the other hand, it's an interesting list to help getting non-tech teachers on board. And as you say, there are many other sites which are terrific yet not included. Thank you for your contribution! :-)

Kathleen Cercone's curator insight, March 26, 2013 7:45 AM

The ability for classrooms to beam in authors, subject experts, and fellow students from around the world has been one of the great advantages afforded by Skype. Commonly used by librarians and other K–12 educators to provide real-time engagement for their students, the service just got better. As of today, existing members of Skype in the classroom or new registrants can use Skype’s Group Video Calling free of charge.

Thanks for all of your comments and responses to my question. Perhaps the relative success of using Wibbitz depends upon the platform (if that's the right term!) upon which the web page rests. Interesting idea though.
