Thank you for your very warm welcome. The pleasure is mine, I can assure you, to be with folks who do so many good and wonderful things to bring local information, news, music and just plain diversity to the communities they serve. That's a wonderful word -"communities"- because it's where we live and work and raise our kids and try to be good citizens. It's the immediate world that surrounds us and we need to know about it, understand it, be a part of it, and help improve it. And yet many of the major trends in media over the past 40 years have pushed "community" aside, diversity aside, local cultures aside. It hasn't been good for citizens.
