The local food movement in the United States has continued to evolve over the past several decades, with local food systems growing immensely, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA).
Sharon Lezberg's insight:

It's difficult to keep track of the upswing in local direct market farms, food entrepreneurs, farmers' markets and CSAs, food hubs, and food enterprise kitchens. The software programs that I've looked into have a notoriously hard time serving as broker/aggregator. Is anyone familiar with this program, or with an on-line service that manages to keep relatively up to date?
