I felt relaxed when reading this article, it provided four steps of creating an effective communication mix and used very clear and simple words to explained the steps. Communication channel choosing is important, because the different target consumers will pay their attentions in different places. Therefore the marketers need to select the effective channels to deliver the messages to target consumer groups.

Relating to Kristy’s point about the article, I can agree that planning out your marketing plan is essential to creating the most out of your brand’s campaign. Understanding your market is key because having a large audience can at most times be too difficult to manage if diversity is to much. Therefore having a simplified audience can create the best of both worlds, meaning that you’ll have an easier consumer base to focus on. Using social media is an important topic as nowadays that’s the place to be, having millions of consumers at your fingertips. Having a plan is key and with proper structure and maintenance the brand has potential to flourish.

Kristy, I think your article is spot on with the first 2 points that marketers must first determining who the target market is and determining the appropriate communication channel. A lot of companies don't complete this second step and feel that quantity is more important than quality but that doesn't work with marketing communications which is why your article is so great.

i agree with Yunqi Zeng, this is so important of identity your target consumer market, by using the right channel sending the right message to the right consumer are the ultimate goal of communication mix and provide the maximum benefit to company.

This article includes the marketing mix model and the communication mix model. The marketing communication mix is the deeper analysis and segmentation of the promotion for four ps. As the author provided the four key elements of marketing communication mix, advertising, personal selling, sales promotion and public relations, I totally agree that the advertising is the most important method to deliver the messages to consumers. It is mass communication and is very direct and give most information to a large group of people in very short time. But it is also the most expensive method, it costs alot of the budget, so for marketers, need to create the attractive and efficient advertising to reduce the unneccessary costs. The rest of the three key elements are important as well. The public relation is quite similar to the advertising but it costs much less money. We need to efficiently use the communication mix to manage the brand and create value.

Hi Thim, although I agree with what you said, I would just like to add something important which is personal selling and public relations. I think having to personally persuade and engage with the consumers changes their mindset from negative to positive about the company or even from good to better. Having to pay the price and lead to a greater profit in the end will all be worth it.

The article is very thorough but more theory based nd doesn't give any examples to real life situations. With the article focusing on 4 parts; Advertising, Personal Selling and Sales Promotion and PR, the article gives a good blend of business tools. But like I said above, there needs to be examples.

Most company use advertising to achieve mass communication and gain brand awareness, but company need to pay a large amount of money to advertiser, however, company have control of what message to distribute is more safe while compare to public relation is control by reporter.

i think company need to understanding budgeting models because it relate to the final result of brand awareness. Choose the right and consider how much money to spend direct effect the result, therefore company have to identify what channel they target consumer use and allocate the right amount of budget.
