Office workings

Office workings | Colleagues and Friends | Scoop.it

Christie works in an office environment 5 days a week, when asked about OHS Christie mentioned a few things, sore back, sore eyes and is concerned about the onset of arthritis in her hands.

Tim Paul's insight:

All the things Christie mentioned are certainly a concern when working in such an environment. Incorrect posture is generally the most seen mistake when working in these conditions. Hourly breaks are very important and more importantly is to take them outside away from air conditioning and computer screen. Most people will eat their lunch at their desk which can be an unhealthy habit. A break in fresh air with a stretch will help overall productivity and wellbeing.

Work at Home!

Work at Home! | Colleagues and Friends | Scoop.it

Jason is good friend of mine, who I decided to give a hand with moving the other day, I walked in on him with a sledge hammer breaking up a wardrobe. Note no PPE. His role in work involves safety but when it came to home the importance of safety didn’t apply.

Tim Paul's insight:

Injuries at home at just as preverlant as the workplace, sometimes we forget the importance of safety around the house as it is such a relvant topic in the workplace.
