An absolute brillian article about how socila media aspects can change the game!

jaynalocke's comment, October 18, 2013 10:06 AM
Guillaume, I got more benefit from your comments on this SlideShare presentation than from the presentation itself. Marketo has done a nice job of pulling together content that is eminently shareable, but without a voice over or detailed presentation notes, it's kind of like driving through a beautiful city in the back of a car, and never being able to get out and experience its true personality. IMHO. I'm sure the Virtual Event was far more enlightening.
Guillaume Decugis's comment, October 18, 2013 11:18 AM
Thanks @jaynalocke ! This is a good testimonial on the value add of human curation and the value of insights. Content without context doesn't work as well.

Why content curation is a new form of communication

While the history of communication until the end of the previous century has only been focusing on enlarging the distribution to a few published or broadcasted content creators, we now live in information overload where content curators can be the new super heroes.

Facebook WiFi: A Simple Way to Promote Your Business

Facebook WiFi: A Simple Way to Promote Your Business | Communicating with interest | Scoop.it

Combining the benefits of social media and free guest WiFi to vastly improve efficiency, customer experience, and brand awareness.

Last week, Facebook Product Managers Erik Tseng and Joanna Lee joined Cisco Meraki Wireless Product Manager Raj Krishna for an interactive webinar on how to provide an integrated WiFi sign-on platform using Facebook.

The highlight? In two mouse clicks, you can create a splash page that lets users check-in to your business page in exchange for free WiFi, instantly providing access to your current news and deals.

What else can you do with Facebook WiFi? Not only can you offer exclusive deals to your loyal customers, but you can also learn more about the clients connecting to your network to create a better user experience and promote engagement. It’s also one less password to remember, one less hassle for your customers, and the easiest way to create a lasting connection.

How to Use Pinterest to Create an Awesome Resume That Stands Out

How to Use Pinterest to Create an Awesome Resume That Stands Out | Communicating with interest | Scoop.it
f you decide to use Pinterest as a resume or portfolio tool, you have two options: create a board or whole account to showcase your skills. If you create a board, it will be one URL and one stream with all of your resume/portfolio items. If you have enough items that pulling them into one stream could be too cluttered, you could create a dedicated Pinterest account with several boards to organize your items into. What your best option is will depend on your profession and experience level.

The Future Of Storytelling Is About To Get Wild ~readwrite

The Future Of Storytelling Is About To Get Wild ~readwrite | Communicating with interest | Scoop.it

"Many of us go about our lives constantly surrounded by screens, immersed in various "stories": movies, TV shows, books, plot-driven video games, news articles, advertising, and more. Whether we realize it or not, we're creating new behaviors, routines, mindsets, and expectations around what we watch, read or play—which in turn presents new challenges and opportunities for creators and marketers.

"In other words, while the fundamentals of good storytelling remain the same, technology is changing how stories can be told. But what does that mean exactly?

"Since last year, Latitude, a strategic insights consultancy, has been conducting an ongoing Future of Storytelling initiative to understand what audiences want for the long haul. Below are eight predictions for the future of storytelling based on what we found. (More information about Latitude's multi-phase research project is available here.)

Jim Lerman's insight:

If your are involved with, or interested in, storytelling in any way, this article is essential reading...because it presents a clear picture of ways in which storytelling is very likely to change in the near future.

Solutions for Inner Peace:            Peaceful Knowing (Put Peace First) Peaceful Being (Let those lead the world who are led by the heart)Peaceful Feelings (To put an end to war and terror; first put your heart at peace)Peaceful Thinking (You don’t have to bring Peace. Peace itself will bring Peace)Peaceful Relating (The only problem is to see others as the problem) Solutions for World Peace:             Peace and Nationalism (My country is also great)Peace and Religion (The world does not need a new religion. It needs a new string that binds together all religions)Peace and Education (Education of the heart is the heart of education)Peace and Women (Women are the embodiment of power, peace and potential)Peace and Business (Live for others because there is no other)How to be a World Citizen?Enhance your consciousness by recognizing that every single life on Earth is supported by one universal thread of life. Thus, the first step is the understanding of oneness. Develop a global perspective by reading the history of other countries, understanding their culture and appreciating their uniqueness. Studying the nature, environment, the balance between the human, plant and animal kingdoms, will make you revere the beauty of creation and in turn shall inspire you to take effort to restore and maintain the balance of nature. Work towards the benefit of the entire world. Undertake impersonal projects for the benefit of others. This should not be limited to just your own country, but should extend to the whole world. The focus of a World Citizen is enhancing global consciousness.
